The last few months of our Dad’s life he was busy. With one collapsed lung and stage four cancer, he had more going on with his to-do list than being concerned about his own life and survival. There were leaky pipes, bulbs to change and a list of things he wanted to make sure people received after he was gone. Somehow he knew it wouldn’t be long. How worried we were with him doing too much…how special that memory would be to us today, understanding now that it was the only way we knew him. Doing for his family. A father to this day, we can’t remember once when he wasn’t there for his girls or our mother. When it counted, he always showed up helping those he loved in any way he could. He’d be proud knowing this is the memory he left with his family.
