When I think of Tina, I remember her as a wonderful wife, soul mate, and companion. I think of Tina as a wonderful mother to my children, Lana, Elainea, and Christopher, and grandmother to 12 grandchildren. I think of Tina as a tireless homemaker, resident manager, expert finance manager, a no-nonsense medical provider, and family spiritual catalyst.
Tina honored and gave God the glory in all that she accomplished during her life. Tina would give with a cheerful heart in all things and volunteered to go on numerous mission trips to Haiti, Mexico, Albania, Brazil, and Spain. Tina gave many hours to work with kids at several local churches and had come to serve our Lord for over 30 years.
So in closing, I am reminded of Tina’s impact on people. At Tina’s “Celebration of Life” ceremony, there was no sadness, but laughter that filled the air, hugs being shared, and people smiling with friends telling stories of Tina and through tears, chuckling at whatever memory they shared.
So my love, I am not going to say goodbye, but “Au revoir, until we meet again,” and when we meet again, I know you will meet me at the start of my journey and say to me, “What took you so long?”
