Betty Finley was born in Pueblo, CO. While growing up she milked many cows (they lived on a dairy farm). She raised and showed a heifer named Linit. Many blue ribbons were won for Linit. When she was 18 years old, her Daddy sold her prize Linit for $100! After high school, she enrolled in Pueblo Junior College where she graduated with an Associates in Business degree. While attending college, she met the love of her life, Jerry, and they married in 1950. Betty worked as a secretary for Mountain Bell and then moved to Colorado Springs. In 1980 she embarked on a new career as a legal secretary. She worked in this field for over 20 years. In addition to spending time with family and friends, some of Betty’s happiest times were traveling with her husband and dear friends, Jim and Jan Traister. They visited many places across the U.S. Betty loved her Colorado sports teams. She was an avid Denver Nuggets, Denver Rockies, and Denver Broncos’ fan. Betty was a devoted wife and loving mother. During her 80 years of life, Betty developed many friendships. She had a special way of making everyone feel loved and special. She will be truly missed by her family and friends.
