My father, Dr. Calvin Fisher, was about Integrity, Commitment, Creativity, and Faith.
Integrity in all aspects of his life, especially in the way he practiced surgery and his total respect for the Hippocratic Oath.
Commitment to the successful completion of all he undertook, expecting a strong work ethic from those who participated in his undertakings with him.
Creativity in the expression of his inner spirit and emotions through his award-winning wood and bronze sculpture, some of which is owned by the Colorado Springs Art Museum.
Faith in a Triune God, which underpinned everything he did and which was given life through his acceptance of the King James Version of the Bible. His happiest moments during the last days of his life occurred during the evening meal at the Hospice facility when his feeder and he exchanged verses from the KJV Bible, from memory, in an ongoing dialogue.
