Rogers Johnson greeted each day with a smile, positive attitude and enthusiasm, even when dying of lymphoma. He was a caring, beloved, honest, friendly, and faithful man. Rogers was a life-long sports fan and participant (football, basketball, tennis, and hockey player). He instilled in his family a love for and ability to play sports. As in sports, he always believed that life is a challenge in which we must be prepared. With hard work, we could condition our minds and bodies, and display fairness and sportsmanship in all ways. Rogers was sincerely interested in others’ lives and was always finding a way to assist people. He had a wide-range of friends, was a community leader, school board member, successful rancher and businessman. Rogers was a wonderful, loving, supportive husband of Polly Johnson, father of Scott, Don, Jody, and Toby Johnson. His family greatly misses him, but remaining with them is his positive, fine influence in their lives.
