My mother was a gentle and caring person who raised her seven children through the years of the great depression. Through all the days of her life she taught her children to “love one another as I have loved you”. Four of her sons served in the armed forces during WWII. She became a gold star mother in 1943. She lost her husband shortly thereafter. Her strong faith sustained her, and she was an inspiration to all who knew her. She lived for others and died happily just prior to her ninetieth birthday.
