My loved one was special because she so appreciated “Mother Nature.” She found beauty in everything. “Look at that pretty wildflower,” or “Oh my, the sky is so blue today,” or “Look at those clouds – can you see the bear’s head with the funny ears?” or “The air is so fresh after a spring rain.” Once, driving past a field of dandelions she exclaimed, “Look! Look at that field of yellow!” Mom was a sweet, caring, and loving mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was such a gentle woman who lived a life full of all of the Lord’s teachings, finding peace and comfort each day, thankful not for her possessions, but for God’s gift of her family and friends. Her newest “best friend” was the person she most recently met. Her always beaming smile and cute giggle were contagious and that is what we’ll remember most.
