September 20, 2018 | 6 to 8 p.m. | The Pinery at the Hill
More than 160 people (including Mayor John Suthers and his wife Janet) enjoyed a strolling soirée offering delicious food stations, a live auction of "Bucket List" experiences to bid on, a "Raise the Bucket" (paddle) fundraiser as well as the presentation of the inaugural Quality of Life Award to El Pomar Foundation. Emcee for the evening featured Betty Sexton, retired Anchor and Investigative Reporter for KKTV 11 News and auctioneer Kevin Patterson of the Patterson Group, LLC. Proceeds from this new signature event will directly benefit our Pediatric Pathways program. One of the myths about hospice care is that it is only for the elderly. In fact, we care for people of all ages. It is our experience that children and their families need unique support during their end-of-life journey. In 2017 we served 25 children and their families who required services and support of Pikes Peak Hospice & Palliative Care. In 2018 we have focused fundraising efforts to support even more children and families needing our care. Click here to read the press release.
