Enterprise Zone Tax Credit

Pikes Peak Hospice Unit at Penrose Hospital is now deemed an Enterprise Zone (EZone) Project. The EZone contribution tax credit was created by the State Government to encourage taxpayers to increase their giving to specific organizations that benefit our community. Donors who write a check for $250 or more through the EZone are rewarded with an additional 25% state income tax credit beyond existing charitable tax deductions. In-kind contributions like labor, materials, stocks, bonds, or real estate are also welcome in the EZone for a 12.5% tax credit with added stipulations.

Pikes Peak Hospice Unit at Penrose Hospital – inpatient care for you and your loved ones when you need it

Pikes Peak Hospice & Palliative Care is the only hospice provider in El Paso County that operates a licensed hospice inpatient unit – Pikes Peak Hospice Unit at Penrose Hospital. Our inpatient unit is essential in addressing the specialized medical needs of the rapidly growing aging population and enhancing quality of life of not just the patients, but their families and loved ones who take care of them. Located on the sixth floor of Penrose Hospital, this program of care manages the most complex care needs of those facing end-of-life issues. Of the 1,700+ patients we serve each year, more than a third receive care at our inpatient unit at some point.

Only donations designated to the Pikes Peak Hospice Unit at Penrose Hospital quality for the tax credit. All of our other programs and services are based out of our headquarters building at 2550 Tenderfoot Hill Street, which is not within an Enterprise Zone.

Cash/credit card donations do not qualify for the EZone.
