Caregiving in Community" event brings conversation and support to Colorado Springs caregivers

Pikes Peak Hospice & Palliative Care and Rocky Mountain PBS host a film and discussion focused on caregiver support, resilience, and community connection.

Caregiving is a deeply meaningful role, but it can also bring emotional, physical, and financial challenges. To help spark conversation and provide support for caregivers, Pikes Peak Hospice & Palliative Care partnered with Rocky Mountain PBS and several community agencies to host Caregiving in Community: A Film and Conversation on Support, Strain & Strength this past weekend.

The event brought together caregivers, healthcare professionals, and community members for a film screening followed by a thoughtful discussion about the realities of caregiving.

Honoring the Strength and Sacrifice of Caregivers

Caregivers provide essential support to family members and loved ones facing illness, aging, or disability. Yet many caregivers often feel isolated in their experiences.

Through shared stories and conversation, attendees reflected on the emotional and practical aspects of caregiving while honoring the strength, compassion, and dedication caregivers bring to their role.

Events like this help create space for caregivers to feel seen, heard, and supported.
