Veteran cafés in Colorado Springs create community for local veterans
Pikes Peak Hospice & Palliative Care hosts monthly gatherings for veterans across senior living communities
Each month, Pikes Peak Hospice & Palliative Care hosts approximately 10 Veteran Cafés throughout the Colorado Springs area, creating welcoming spaces where veterans can gather, connect, and share their experiences.
These Veteran Café gatherings take place in a variety of locations, including assisted living, skilled nursing, and independent living communities, as well as community hubs such as the Colorado Springs Senior Center and the Fountain Valley Senior Center.
The goal of the Veteran Café program is simple but meaningful: provide an opportunity for veterans to spend time together in community. These gatherings encourage conversation, camaraderie, and connection among individuals who share the unique experiences of military service.
For many veterans, these moments of connection can be deeply meaningful. Veteran Cafés offer a relaxed environment where participants can share stories, reflect on their service, and build friendships with fellow veterans.
As part of its ongoing commitment to honoring and supporting those who have served, Pikes Peak Hospice & Palliative Care continues to bring Veteran Cafés to communities across the region, helping ensure veterans have opportunities to connect with others who understand their experiences.
Through these regular gatherings, the organization is proud to help strengthen community among veterans in Colorado Springs and surrounding areas.
