Pikes Peak Hospice & Palliative Care connects with community at Southern Colorado Juneteenth Festival
Pikes Peak Hospice & Palliative Care was honored to participate in the 6th Annual Southern Colorado Juneteenth Festival, held June 20–21 at the Norris Penrose Event Center in Colorado Springs. The festival brought together thousands of community members for a weekend celebrating culture, heritage, inclusion, education, entertainment, and community connection.
As part of the event, our team hosted an information table where attendees could learn more about hospice and palliative care services, ask questions, and connect with members of our staff. Throughout the weekend, we had meaningful conversations with individuals and families seeking information about serious illness care, advance care planning, grief support, and the resources available through Pikes Peak Hospice & Palliative Care.
Community events like the Southern Colorado Juneteenth Festival provide important opportunities to build relationships, increase awareness, and ensure that individuals and families know where to turn when they need compassionate care and support.
Juneteenth commemorates the emancipation of enslaved African Americans and serves as a celebration of freedom, resilience, culture, and community. The Southern Colorado Juneteenth Festival reflects those values by bringing together people from all backgrounds for education, entertainment, and meaningful connection.
We are grateful to the organizers, volunteers, vendors, and attendees who made this year's festival such a success. Thank you to everyone who visited our table and took the time to learn more about our mission.
Pikes Peak Hospice & Palliative Care remains committed to serving Southern Colorado with compassion, dignity, and excellence while supporting patients and families through some of life's most important moments.
