Pikes Peak Hospice & Palliative Care shows up for our community at Sue’s Gift event
Being part of a community means more than simply providing services. It means showing up, making connections, sharing resources and standing alongside our neighbors during both the joyful and difficult moments of life.
Pikes Peak Hospice & Palliative Care was proud to be part of Sue’s Gift “Be Ovary Aware” 3K Walk and 5K Run in downtown Colorado Springs. Our team hosted an information table, connecting with participants and community members while supporting an important cause.
The annual event raises funds to support Coloradans affected by seven types of gynecologic cancers. It brings together people who have been personally affected by cancer, their families and friends, advocates, community organizations and supporters.
Supporting the Community Beyond Our Walls
As a nonprofit hospice and palliative care organization, Pikes Peak Hospice & Palliative Care is deeply connected to the communities we serve. Our work is centered on caring for people and families, but that commitment doesn't stop at the doors of our care settings.
Participating in community events gives our team an opportunity to listen, learn and connect with people who may not yet know about the resources available to them. It also allows us to support other organizations whose work touches the lives of people and families in our community.
Being present at events like Sue’s Gift “Be Ovary Aware” is one small but meaningful way we can live out that commitment.
We are grateful to Sue’s Gift for bringing the Colorado Springs community together and for its work to raise awareness and provide support for Coloradans affected by gynecologic cancers.
Thank you to everyone who participated in the walk and run, volunteered, supported the event and helped make it possible. We’re proud to be part of a community that continues to show up for one another.
